Rob MacCachren Invincible at 2009 Mint 400

Rob MacCachren finishes first in his Alumi Craft 1600 car at the 2009 Mint 400 and 8th overall. He finished in front of all the Class 10 and Class 12 cars that have more power and travel. Rob is qouted below in a press release issued by Tim Sanchez of Rock On Motorsports.

The Rockstar Energy Racing 1600 buggy was flawless today. I have to thank everyone that is part of this program starting with Rockstar, Alumi Craft and John Cooley who built this car, FOX Racing Shox, BFGoodrich Tires, Kartek, Folts Transmissions, FAT Performance Racing Engines along with all of our associate sponsors that make such great contributions to our single-buggy program. My prep guy, Ian Beaman, did a fantastic job at prepping the car along with Brian Lopez and the crew that supported me on the race course. It’s great to win, but this Mint 400 victory is really really sweet.

Success for Alumi Craft at 2009 Parker 425

The BITD Parker 425 proved to be one challenging race this year. It started under beautiful clear skies that were hiding an afternoon and evening of cold and rainy weather. Those who started the race were the lucky ones...the drivers who jumped in half way were welcomed with soggy seats and wet conditions ahead. But, there were two Alumi Craft Class 1000 teams that were not deterred. The team of Adam Ashcraft pushed through the long day to finish second in class with an overall time of 9 hours and 27 minutes with a solid 22nd overall. And, Matt Cullen and his team finished fourth in class with a finishing time of 10 hours and 20 minutes. Just finishing this race was tough...congratulations to these teams for toughing out the race in some of the most challenging conditions....
